I have an employee with 128K memory installed and is getting an “insufficient memory to display font” error, forcing him to reboot after a period of time on the machine. When first booting, his memory free is 73% and only goes as low as 68% after opening all of the programs he normally uses. After a period of time, the memory free goes as low as 9%. Does anyone know if there is a diagnostic tool that can be run to identify a memory leak or conflict so that we can resolve this problem? Or does anyone have any other suggestions?

Patch reliability is unclear. Unless you have an immediate, pressing need to install a specific patch, don't do it. |

There’s no MSCONFIG in Windows 95, so you can try an add-in like TweakUI (which should be installed by default, IMHO) or XTeq X-Setup to selectively disable startup programs.
I would strongly advise NOT running another program to detect memory leaks, because you are introducing another variable into an already unstable machine. Some scientist somewhere proved the point that the very act of measuring things corrupts the results….but since I’m no scientist that’s just an observation.
