On atempting to install software from CD, the Install Wizard loads and a message stating . Blue progress indicator stops at about half-way at which point an error message pops up:
On clicking OK, InstallShield closes down.
The CD itself is OK and apparently there are no hardware problems.
    Any suggestions please?

When installing a new program, do it from Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs | Add New Program button. Such a procedure (so-called “install mode”) is especially important in NT-based OS (NT/2000/XP).

What OS are you running now, Rob? Seems I remember you had a foray into something like WinME and had problems. The reason I ask is that maybe there’s someplace on the MS web sites to get an update to the Windows Installer directly, so then your software wouldn’t have to do it. I’m thinking maybe it’s that process on the CD that may not be up to snuff.
