I’m trying to install the Security Update for Microsoft Works 9 (KB2431831) but every time I try, after approximately 60% complete it flashes a message asking me to insert the Works 9 disk. My Dell came with Works 9 already installed and I don’t have a disk.

Is there any way I can install this important update?

You can try downloading the patch from Security update for Microsoft Works 9. Save it to your hard drive. Then double click the saved file to install.

No luck with either solution. Trying to download from the MS Works site does the same as Windows Updates, it requests the Works 9 disk. The MS support site you referred me to is down. Any other suggestions?.
