But I do have Adobe Reader on my Windows 7 laptop (haven’t taken the time to remove it yet). So this is one to watch. Good to know it is specific to Adobe Reader this time, and not a worry to users of the alternatives.

Adobe Reader is just a program, so it can be removed in the usual ways. The alternatives integrate well with most major browsers, so folks who want to switch will have only minimal hassles. Nitro and Foxit are very friendly with Firefox (and Chrome).
