I need to use as background for an email our stationery letter which is currently in jpg format.
So in the new email I go to Format/Background/Fill Effects/Picture and I select the picture to use. The final result however gives me a duplicate of the stationery (like I have two pages one next to each other). I believe this is because the email format is larger than the actual picture. Is there any way to get on the email only one instance of that picture (right now it seems that it’s ’tiled’).
Also when I go to the Print Preview, the stationery doesn’t show at all.
    Thanks!

The stationery editor in Outlook is rather limited. The Stationery Wizard in Outlook Express is much more flexible. Stationery created in Outlook Express will automatically be available in Outlook too (and vice versa). You can also design your own HTML page and make that available as stationery.

Note: if you include images in your stationery, they will be sent with each e-mail, increasing the size of the e-mail. So be careful, and keep in mind that people with a slow internet connection won’t appreciate receiving huge e-mails.

Thanks a lot! I don’t want to use a stationery for each of my emails, only for a few selective, so I need to add it in the actual email, thus there’s no danger of putting the stationery as my default for every outgoing email. I just merely need to put a picture as my ‘watermark’, background on the page. Currently there is no easy solution to my problem, right?

        Thanks,

I’d create stationery for this kind of e-mail using Outlook Express or an HTML editor. It won’t become your default stationery.
When you want to create an e-mail using this stationery, select Actions | New Mail Message Using | More Stationery…
(When you’ve done this once, the stationery will probably be listed in the Actions | New Mail Message Using submenu)

Sorry, Outlook is just a bad HTML editor. For a thread on a similar past request, see:
