• Indexs on Tables (Access 2000)

I am importing data from a text file in to Access. The import
uses an import spec to control the import.
The data is being put into a new table. the spec does not list any of the fields as indexes.

My questions is this. After the import has completed and the table is created, Access then
creates three indexes on the table.

Any ideas why this would happen. Also, is there a way to stop the creation of the indexes.

    Thanks

Check settings in the Tools>Options>Tables/Queries>”AutoIndex on Import/Create”.
Anything listed there will automatically create indexes upon importing.
