impossible to create recovery image in win 2004

win ver 2004 wont let me create recovery image in my recovery partion. can i delete that recovery partition so i can store image file there?

Creating a recovery image on the same disk is pointless IMO. A disk crash or other failure may render the disk unusable and you will lose your image.

Use an external USB disk stored in a safe place once you have created the image.
