    Need some help:

Moving from Outlook 2003 on a XP Pro PC (tears being shed) to Outlook 2013 on a Win7 Pro PC.
Have two users defined on both PCs.

Using kb 2806550 as the how to.

Based upon the kb 2806550 I did the following:

    Logged in user1
First time start up of Outlook, everything went well for user1.

    At a later point.
Created user1MicrosoftOutlook, and copied the Outlook.nk2 (for user1) file into this folder.
Checked the profile name in outlook for user1, was correct.
    Run: outlook.exe /importnk2
    Everything imported properly.
    Logged out from user1.

    Logged in user2
First time start up of Outlook, everything went well for user2.

    At a later point.
Created user2MicrosoftOutlook, and copied the Outlook.nk2 (for user2) file into this folder.
Checked the profile name in outlook for user2, was correct.
    Run: outlook.exe /importnk2
    Nothing is imported.

Figure I must be doing something really stupid, but can’t figure our what it is.

Is there a log or something I can look at that will tell me what is happening?

Have even gone so far as to completely delete and recreate user2.

    Thanks

    Tom

Does the second profile name contain a period?: Outlook 2013: Fails to import NK2 file using /importnk2 command switch

Found a work around, would give the link so that they would receive credit, but didn’t save it
      shut down outlook
please remember that the name of the nk2 file needs to match the profile name for the user, normally the default profile name is outlook.

      place the outlook.nk2 in:
      userappdataroamingmicrosoftoutlook
      restart outlook
      done

when finished, the file will be renamed to outlook.nk2.old
