Importing/combining 2 seperate workbooks

Hi,

I think I’ve seen it in this forum before, but can’t figure out the correct search terms to find what I want to do.

I have a monthly report/workbook and a quarterly report/workbook. In each I have data pages that feed graphs and tables on various other worksheet pages. I hide the data pages when printing the reports. My manager now wants some of the monthly data in my quarterly report. Is there a method to import all of the worksheets in the monthly report with their links to the data page into the quarterly workbook so that I don’t lose the links?

I know I could just copy each page, but then I would have to recreate all of the links. With it being our financial year end, I’m a bit pressed for time and my manager has no idea how difficult his request is.

Thanks to anyone who can point me to the correct post or can tell me how to do this.

Open both workbooks.
Activate the monthly workbook.
Make sure that it has been saved.
Make sure that all sheets are visible.
Right-click a sheet tab and select “Select all sheets” from the popup menu.
Right-click a sheet tab and select “Move or copy sheet” from the popup menu.
Select the quarterly workbook from the dropdown at the top.
Specify where you want the sheets to be placed (before an existing sheet or at the end).
Click OK.
The monthly workbook will be closed (but the saved version will remain unchanged).
The quarterly workbook will now contain copies of the sheets from the monthly workbook, with links to each other.
