My hard drive is failing and I want to image the current 1TB hard drive to a new 1TB hard drive.

Can I use Windows 7 to create system image on new drive?
    Is there a better/easier way?

I’d just like to plug in the new drive and image the old drive over to it and then toss the old drive.

    Thanks.

IMHO I’d download the Free copy of Macrium Reflect.

[*]Create the Windows PE recovery disk {CD/USB}.
[*]Boot from the recovery disk and Image to a USB hard drive or 2nd hard drive in your system.
[*]Remove the faltering drive & install the new drive.
[*]Again boot from the Macrium CD/USB and restore the image.
        [*]Done.

      Good Luck!
