IE11 disable Open/Save prompt when downloading .csv files

Windows 7: I am trying to download a .csv file as part of a batch file but execution stops at the Save/Open popup.

To disable this (doing so for .csv files is safe enough for me) I followed these instructions:

1.In Internet Explorer 10 or 11 you will first have to click on a file of the type you want to open automatically next time.
2.This will give you the Open/Save prompt.
3.Select the Save option.
4.Then in Internet Explorer click Tools
5.Under Tools click the View Downloads option
6.You will see a popup containing the file that you just downloaded.
7.Right-click on the file
8.In the options presented, make sure to un-check the option labeled: Always ask before opening this type of file
From now on if you click on a file of that type, the file will bypass the automatic prompt and will open automatically.

However when I right-click on a .csv file – step 7. above – I do not see the option Always ask before opening this type of file

What am I doing wrong ?

There’s a lot of pages on the Internet about .csv files found by a Search but I didn’t locate an actual .csv file to download. Usually when I click a file such as .pdf I get a choice to Open or Save, usually I choose Save. I only use your steps 1 through 3 then done with the browser.

Then I look in the Default Downloads Folder on my HDD, double-click the file and let it open in the default program, usually for .csv files it is Excel or other spreadsheet program that is installed. If given a choice of program to use instead, I make that choice then.

Before you wonder "Am I doing things right," ask "Am I doing the right things?"

You are conflating info about MS Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer. If you post the bat file you want to use there are very smart people here who can help you.
