Skeptical loungers will await the comments of the early adopters on whether it is, in fact, fool’s gold.

hello Does this mean that 6.0 will take the place of 5.5? Do we wait for WindowsUpdate for official upgrade? Is it worth upgrading from 5.5SP2? Just want to know. Thanks. smile

I have been running IE 6.0 since early testing of Windows XP on my test machine and IE 6.0 beta with Windows 2000 on this machine for about 2 months. I have NOT had any problems with either. Just let it be known that the Java engine is NOT supplied as part of it. You will need to go to Windows Update for “VM” or to Sun for their Java engine. Some sites require that you have one or the other. Most sites that require it with offer to link you to a site to down load a copy.

Dave..I installed 6.0 this afternoon on my computer…so far have gotten 1 error popup..via the
Explorer Error Reporting popup…maybe just a random thing..having email server problems at same time, so could be connected to OE 6…who knows. I forgot to write down what the error was all about doh
Other than that, no problems…*fingers and toes crossed*

perhaps you have a sales-pitch of benefits over 5.5? wink

I’ve had a beta version of IE6 for a couple of weeks working under Win 2kP. Have added enhancements. Found it very stable and had no problems at all.

              Definitely Au and not FeS2

Downloaded it early this a.m. and ran it all day. No problems at all.
