Icons in Window Explorer (XP Pro SP 1)

Help!
Somehow the icons on the left hand pane of Windows Explorer have disappeared – I have only got the folder names and the plus/minus and lines on my explorer. I’ve attached a screen shot of the icons I am talking about. On my computer they just aren’t there.

I’ve tried system restore back to a date it was working – that didn’t fix it, logging on as a different user, clearing the icon cache, doing TweakUI for XP Icon repair – can anyone help me?

(As the search is down, I’m not sure if this has already been answered!)

Thanks for that Leif, it worked. Though now I have two drives in Explorer.

I reinstalled Windows on my new HDD when my old one (which said it was C:) was still connected and it became E: so that causes the problem. I didn’t realise it would stay E: even when I removed the old drive.

You might try the Repair Icons function of the Microsoft TweakUI For XP. If you don’t have it installed, you should take a look and/or download this, the latest version. No tool kit should be without it!
