    Out of my 300 or so contacts, I noticed that just two of them have an icon that includes a small circle with a dot. What does it mean? Thanks

      It probably means that Journaling has been turned on for those contacts.
      To check this, select Tools | Options in the main Outlook window.
      In the Preferences tab, click Journal Options.
      See if the two contacts’ check boxes in the list on the right are ticked.
