In Excel 97, I did it by opening the Word doc and inserting a bookmark (then save the file),
Then in Excel I inserted a Hyperlink indicating the file in the top box and the bookmark name in the bottom box.
I will go find Excel 2002 to see if it works the same there.

      I have 2000 not 2002, however:

In Excel – select the cell and COPY.

In Word – select the appropriate page and EDIT/PASTE SPECIAL/PASTE LINK and select either FORMATTED TEXT or WORKSHEET OBJECT according to your preferences.

Changes to the Excel cell will be reflected in Word.

      Sorry,
It was easy to create a hyperlink in Excel 97 to bring the user to a bookmark in Word, but I cannot figure out how to do it in Excel 2002.
It would seem they have improved the process………..

It’s the same mechanism in EXcel 2002, but Excel issues an error message if I try to select a bookmark in the document.

Looking at the exact wording of the Help for Create a hyperlink, I’d say that it was not intended to be able to create a hyperlink to a Word bookmark from an Excel 2002 woeksheet.

Have not tried this in Excel 97 or Excel 2000.

When entering or editing the hyperlink, enter # after the file name and then the name of the bookmark in the Address box:

        C:WordTest.doc#MyBookmark

          Hans,
That works llike a charm! I tried many switches (, ; / /b etc) but never thought of #.
I also looked in the Excel help, -right…….

          Thanks again,
          Chuck
