Hyperlink across network servers (All/2002)

I need to create a hyperlink to another Excel file stored on a different network server. I go through the usual steps to complete this and test the link. Everything works great until I re-save the file with the new hyperlink or close the file and come back in. Then I receive the message “The address of this site is not valid. Check the address and try again.” I’ve been to this document in the MSKB but can’t make any progress. What am I missing?

have you tried mapping the drive?

I have both drives mapped. Two other teams will use the document. I think everyone on the team is mapped.

Came upon method #2 in this KB article. Seems to solve my problem. Thanks for your suggestions!
