• huge file what happened?

    I made a simple calendar and put two small JPG with it. Now my file says it is 9 megs! How can I control the size of this monster file? Why is this thing so huge?

      I suspect it’s Microsofts – & some other software makers – habit of converting jpegs into Bitmaps. This was supposed to have disppeared in Version 2000, but I suspect it is still there. Unfortunately I haven’t found a way around it. confused

        There is no workaround for this in 2000 and older version of Publisher. However, Publisher 2002 has addressed this problem. Publisher now has compression in the objects which has greatly reduced the file sizes compared to the older versions.
