Has anybody any experience with the HP Mobile Printer Driver PCL5? This provides access to HP printers from a laptop without the need to install individual drivers.
I have had this installed on my notebook for some time to print to a networked LJ1200. This worked fine until I updated the print server PC to SP2 and all the latest Windows updates. Now the driver works the first time after I install it on the notebook, but refuses to print after the notebook is rebooted. There is no print message, and no indication on the print server of a file waiting. On the laptop, it shows one file printing, no error. But nothing happens.
I can print OK with direct network connection to the printer via ///.
If I remove and reinstall the driver, it works again the first time, but won’t work again after reboot. I have checked that I have the latest driver version from the HP site.
Any ideas?
