GuestOctober 2, 2016 at 2:13 pm #33293@ Woody Other than your your post on the demise of Windows Journal in Win 10, I have not seen any date of demise of windows journal in Win 7 Home Premium or any other Win Os’s. Did I miss something somewhere? I just rang up Windows Journal on my win 7 hp machine and the lastest is Win Journal 6.1.7601.23471 dtd 8-3-2016. There are about 100 system entries on my computer. I have not used Windows Journal for my personal items, and I also have one-note. Will I expect problems over this or will I get whacked?

ManagerOctober 2, 2016 at 2:56 pm #33294Microsoft is phasing out Windows Journal, but it should still work in every version up to Win10 Anniversary Update. See http://www.infoworld.com/article/3091875/microsoft-windows/four-new-windows-patches-to-avoid-kb-2952664-2976978-2977759-and-windows-journal-3170735.html

AskWoody LoungerOctober 2, 2016 at 8:19 pm #33297If you have installed this update :

Update for Windows Journal component removalThen Windows Journal supposedly will be removed permanently from your system. The update is not reversible, apparently.
Hope for the best. Prepare for the worst.
