I have some old work files from about 1992 in Lotus 123 (.wk1/.FMT) and Harvard Graphics .dwg format. I have tried abandonware where I was able to install Lotus Symphony and Lotus SmartSuite on my Win10 pro system, alas, with no success ie. Lotus Symphony; cannot read .wk1 and does not acknowledge .fmt. Similarly for Lotus SmartSuite which recognises .WK1 spreadsheet but not .fmt graphic content of the spreadsheet. In the case of Harvard Graphics I am having difficulty finding abandonware that will install on my Win10 system.

I would appreciate any assistance or suggestions at all as to how I can access my files in order to view/print them (even just displaying them and then getting a screen grab would be a huge help).

I was once told that early versions of MS Office were compatible with Lotus 123 .wk1/.FMT but again, I am at a loss as to how to get access to such an old version of Office.

With regard to Harvard Presentation Graphics .dwg (early version was called this) I have no clue and, again, would appreciate any suggestions as to how to view these files

Sorry, my bad, this was pure habit but I got the extention wrong HPG file that I have are .DRW and not .DWG  That was a mistype due to my greater familiarity with .DWG

        Any suggestions for .DRW ?

LibreOffice (free) claims to import wk1 files.

I have Lotus SmartSuite ’97 (which I actually prefer using) and it recognizes wk1 files.  Getting SmartSuite ’97 or any old MS Office may be a problem now though.  Paul T’s suggestion above seems to be your best bet.  I heard of Harvard Graphics and may have some old 5¼” floppy disks of it but would have to search thru a box of old floppies.

wk1 – libreoffice spreadsheets should open it, whether it renders correctly?

FMT – Sakura Editor supports this, there’s a download link within link below.

Oh yes – Libreoffice spreadsheets may open Lotus .wk1 and .123 files, but it doesn’t render graphics and other things correctly.  I tried it with a .123 file just to see.

Thanks for getting back on my topic, I tried LibreOffice as well. Lotus spreadsheet opened but graphic content from .fmt file did not open.  At the time Impress was an add-on or add-in to Lotus 123 which gave the spreadsheet graphic capability. Guess one would need to find a way of finding Impress for Lotus somehow.
