How to update Windows Update Agent to latest version

Since I clean installed W8.1 3 days ago, I’m striving to find any updates. No success. Maybe installing newest WUA, but MS article:

points out April 2014 version (KB2937636). And it was revised 27 Feb 2017.

 

Any ideas?

Yes, it does contain Wuaueng.dll version 7.9.9600.18340.

They may be trying to make things difficult for people. I didn’t find it in the Catalog and there wasn’t a link on the download page.

You can find it via Windows 8.1 update history page – and it needs April 2015 servicing stack update to be installed beforehand.

It couldn’t find updates for 3 days and now found all within a few minutes!

KB3173424 is a later servicing stack, i believe

ANd KB3173424 supersedes the KB3021910 servicing stack update as Microsoft said so in MS support KB article 3173424.

Update replacement information
This update replaces the previously released update 3021910.

Look here for the latest WUA and servicing stack fo Win7 and Win8.1
