How to uninstall a cumulative update preview

I did the April update, used wushowhide, and hid the .NET Cumulative Preview (KB5037745).

This update installed anyway!?!?

I went to the Uninstall Update section but cannot find this KB in order to uninstall it.

Advice would be greatly appreciated.

Have you observed any problems caused by the update? If you are not having any problems, I’d just leave it.

The April .NET Cumulative Preview for Windows 10 is KB5037724 and, just like all .NET Framework 3.5, 4.8 and 4.8.1 cumulative updates, it actually contains multiple KB#’s; one for .NET 4.8 and a different one for .NET 4.8.1.

The actual “installed” KB# you’ll see will depend on which .NET version is installed on your PC (note: it’s impossible for a PC to have both .NET 4.8 & .NET 4.8.1!)

For the above April preview the two KB#’s are: KB5037592 for .NET 4.8 or KB5037587 for .NET 4.8.1

Thanks to both PKCano and n0ads.

Yeah, I got the KB wrong, but these answers helped (I have .NET 4.8.1). I have not noted any problems thus far.

I was looking for the “Preview” number to uninstall as I do not want any “Previews”!

I am still trying to figure out why it proceeded as I had hid that (with the wushowhide process).

Moving on…
