Just got a note from @rhp52…. The last two newsletters I’ve received have only contained your article. It ends with a picture of Fred and the title

Assuming the Newsletter has gone out by email already (8:45am server time), I didn’t get it this morning. (At lease, yet) Not in spam and not in trash.

I have a note here from MailChimp that you were sent the newsletter at 2:15 am Central Daylight Time – which is about the time they usually roll out.

Chances are very good the newsletters are being held by a spam filter with your mail provider. (If it’s blocked by your ISP, I get full records of the bounce on MailChimp.)

Please, everybody, if you aren’t getting your newsletters, there’s a reason for it. Drop me a line at CustomerSupport@AskWoody.com .

I have the Newsletter going to my AskWoody account.
The AskWoody mail is being forwarded to my Gmail account.
I had never before ever logged in to the AskWoody mail server.
I found the Newsletter in the spam folder on the AskWoody mail server this morning when I had the url for the server for the first time.
          I’ll bookmark that server!!!!
          Thanks.

It’s a good lesson for everybody.

Get this. Even the AskWoody.com mail server shuffled the Newsletter into an obscure spam folder. It never got to the intended recipient.

If you aren’t receiving your newsletters, talk to me! CustomerSupport@AskWoody.com.

And it wouldn’t hurt to whitelist Editor@AskWoody.com, which is the source of the newsletters and alerts. Most people don’t realize that there are three separate places where maligned newsletters go to die – the Internet Service Provider (I can see bounce histories for those), your mail provider and your email program. Generally, the email program politely sticks the newsletter in a designated folder, but the other two can swallow emails without a wink or fair-thee-well.

I’ve completed the last official “verification” step — the so-called DKIM records are set up and working correctly. But that doesn’t blast through all of the barriers.
