The software (PaperPort 12) that came with my Brother HL-2280DW does not have the ability to stitch two parts of a legal size document together like I can with my old Cannon LiDE 100 using MP Navigator software.

Is there a freeware product that will do this ? I am reluctant to purchase software because I only need to do this two or three times a year.

    Thanks

You can test VueScan for free all you want. However, free version watermarks all up & down the printout or the saved file. I bought VueScan as a fixerUpper to my Canon 110 software.

What format are you outputting your scans to? If it’s PDF then you can get a free PDF joiner. Have a look at this thread.

      Hope this helps…

personally i would buy a bigger scanner
      they are very cheap
probably chaper than most software fixes

and a lot easier to use
plus they save a lot of time

the 2280dw will never scan legal
so you will have to cut and paste or merge two separate scans somehow

      depending on your need
photoshop could do that very easily
find an old cheap version of ps5 or ps7 which would be more than enough

gimp might do it for free
