    Hello,

I would like to know what all steps are involved in partitioning a SSD (4TB). I have decided to take the plunge and see if I can do it myself. I should have the new SSD by Monday the 31st of July.

Assuming this will be your System Drive, a clean install of Windows should do this for you; if you clone or image/restore, the correct partitions should be re-established. Partitions can later be resized or added using Disk Management or (preferably) a free 3rd party program like Minitool or EaseUS.

If it’s NOT your System Drive, tell us what you’re going to use it for.

BTW, are you SURE it’s a 4TB SSD?

An SSD is no different from an HDD when it comes to partitions, except that you must start the partitions on a segment boundary.
Windows will do this for you with a fresh install.
Your backup software should do this for you.
Disk management software will check this and correct it if required.
