What’s recommended for printing VB.Net source code? I’ve tried printing from the IDE & it’s a pain-not only do I need to print each module separately but I also need to make sure each region & procedure is expanded or I’ve wasted the print. I’m curious about what everyone else uses-or is printing the source code considered obsolete? (We still do code walkthrus & I find hard-copy very useful for that as I can make notes right on the source code.)

    Thx.

We do our code reviews in a conference room with the code projected on a screen. We never print it out. shrug

Thanks. Doesn’t immediately help my problem, but it’s always nice to see how other folks do it-and it might help in the future.

We make comments in the live code for that purpose. We use the task list and add a TODO: comment.

Unlike Charlotte, I still kill trees. I use VS .NET CodePrint from StarPrint. It costs money but in my humble opinion, it’s the best one out there.

I haven’t used the VS.Net version, but all the other StarPrint versions are excellent and I would expect the same from the .Net flavor. I certainly used it in VB and VBA. thumbup

Thanks. Our procedure was developed when we were using VB/VBA. Possibly we’ll change it under .Net, but haven’t so far. I only found 2 programs for printing .Net source code-PrettyCodePrint.Net and VS.NetCodePrint. Of the 2 I liked VS.NetCodePrint better but I was wondering if there was something else out there that I’d missed. Looks like there isn’t so I’ll recommend that we either use .NetCodePrint or change our procedures. (Charlotte-thanks. I hadn’t discovered the enhancement about the task list & TODO: comments yet.)
