      There is no subform *feature* to my knowledge. However, it is possible that the wizard wasn’t installed. If you can drag a form onto another form, which creates a subform, then at least your Access is working properly.

      To install components that weren’t installed originally, you use the Office CD, not the Windows CD. Run the setup again and select the option to add/remove components. You may have done an installation that did not include the wizards (and probably other things as well, so check). When you run the setup that way, anything you check (items that aren’t already checked, that is) will be installed and anything you uncheck will be removed.

        yes this is true Charlotte, i can drop a subform object onto my form, but i cannot edit it in any way or even see its property sheet for that matter. that’s when i got the message something like this feature is not installed or something i forget exactly what.
