AskWoody LoungerJune 19, 2010 at 5:53 am #1230053You could also try the Memory Fox add-in. This seems to control Forefox’s memory usage pretty well (i;ve had it installed for a few months now).
I have 5 windows open in FF 3.6.3 and it keeps memory usage at around 50-60Mb (on 2 Gb memory total). You need to remember to activate though – the load on start up doesn’t seem to work too well.

Firefox Memory Recovery
Click here to install “Memory Fox”I was using AFOM as my memory manager for FF. I uninstalled AFOM and installed Memory Fox.
I regularly have 24 to 36 tabs open and my memory usage seems to hold at 500MB.
