How to export all the file name under a folder? I tried to use Karen’s Directory Printer. It would crash when the folder name was Chinese. Is there another way to export non-English file names to a text file?

I don’t know what happens in Chinese, but you might want to go looking for old PC Magazine archives. I used to use a free utility by Mike Mefford called FileGrab but it’s been a few years and I don’t know if it (or something like it) is still available.

Have you contacted Karen abot the probelm? She may be able to resolve it quickly.

Following your suggestion, I just sent a bug report to her.

      Try typing
      DIR /S > filename.txt
To a command prompt and see if the output file is what you need.

I did the dir /a /b /s > filename-list.txt . All the Chinese were still in question mark.
