With the arrival of the new Timeline as a “replacement” for the user’s Wall, the Facebook folks have changed the handling and display of one’s friend list. They now display friends in pictorial fashion, seemingly in some random order.
I like to periodically make a copy of my list of friends in a text file on my local drive. It used to be a simple copy and paste operation but now is impossible to do, given the nature of the Facebook GUI.
Does anyone know of a workaround or 3rd party application that will EXPORT a list of friends? At present, the only workaround that I’ve found is to download a copy of my entire Facebook “stuff” by way of Account Settings. I can then see a list of friends similar to this attached graphic. But that’s like using a bazooka to kill a flea. Any suggestions will be welcome.
