    Hi Experts
Is it possible to convert word Doc files to PDF without opening them. I have around 100 of word Doc and have to change them to PDF. Is there any simple way to do it.

I obtained a program called Corel Fusion when I purchased WordPerfect Office X6. It will do batch conversion of Word files.

I believe you can try it for 30 days but I don’t know if that feature is 100% available or if it puts watermarks in the files when it converts them.

There is a website I have used occasionally, called Zamzar, which will convert files of up to 100 Mb to PDF, and I have found that normally it does a good job: http://www.zamzar.com/
It allows drag and drop of multiple files.

Another solution might be MyMorph (of which there is also an online version called DocMorph) available at http://docmorph.nlm.nih.gov/docmorph/mymorphinstallation.htm.
It seems to work well. You have to register before using it, but it is free to use. I don’t know if there are any limitations on the size of documents to be converted. An interestting point is that it can also convert a JPG file to Text using some kind of OCR – and it DOES work – I have tried it.

I recently found a hidden gem in the free Foxit Reader to do just that. Foxit adds ‘Convert to PDF’ to the context menu so all you have to do is right click on the file in Windows Explorer, left click on convert and the file opens in Foxit Reader. Now simply save the file and you have it in PDF.

This is great for one file but it doesn’t seem to work when selecting multiple files.

Eliminate spare time: start programming PowerShell

you might use the virtual printer named PDF Factory. once installed you can print as many files as you desire and it collects in one pdf file that you can then print, save, mail, fax
