There used to be a Microsoft Windows 10 compatibility checker to flag any hardware or driver incompatibilities when looking to upgrade from Win 7 to to Win 10. That seem to have disappeared. I have an older HP running Win 7 Home Premium and recall there were some driver questions in the early Win 10 upgrade days but thought perhaps the issues might have been resolved. I am reluctant to simply go ahead with the Win 10 install hoping it works. Any ideas appreciated.

AskWoody MVPJune 2, 2020 at 1:40 pm #2268815Before doing ANYTHING back up your current OS image to another storage device,( Macrium Reflect seems to be the favoured choice) This will ensure you can get your Windows 7HP back if you have future issues. Generally Windows 10 has now matured and should be ok with regards to older device drivers. I tend to stick to OEM drivers for windows 10 so, you may wish to look at your device manager and take note and look for your manufacturer driver support page to start with in preparation for the OS move.
Do you have other means to access askwoody if your PC has issues?
