Does anyone know if it is possible to change the version of Office (2003 or 2007 but preferably 2007) installed on a single computer? In my scenario someone accidentally installed the trial version of Office 2007 on a Terminal Server Windows server when the full blown and fully liscensed version should have been installed. Is it possible to change the trial version to the regular version without a complete re-install?

Additionally, is this kind of change possible not only between a Trial version and non-Trial version of Office but between different versions of office like between say Standard version/edition and Ultimate version/edition in Office 2007?

I realize the answer to this may vary greatly between different versions of office so please respond to it if you have a response for any version of Office and for any edition. I thought this post would server as an easy to locate general answer to this commonly asked question. I searched Google over several pages of hits and found may posts about this same issue.

    Thanks

For converting a Trial version, see this FAQ page . Expand the “How do I convert my trial” section. NOTE – the trial version and the fully licensed version should be the SAME version – ie. convert Office Standard trial to Office Standard, Professional trial to Professional, etc.

As for “converting” from Standard to Ultimate, this cannot be done without an install.
