    Question is above.

Would it be best to “Export” the .pst file from within the Outlook 2016 app, then “Import” the .pst file into the new Outlook 2024 app?

Or just “Copy” the Outlook 2016 .pst file from its File folder and “Paste” it onto the new Outlook 2024 .pst file in its new File folder?

Also, can I Change the new Outlook 2024 .pst Folder Name and Location without messing up the app?

I agree with Joe…Just open the old PST as a Data file in Outlook. It will open a separate folder tree in the left pane.  Move the emails with folders from the Outlook Data file to your new Outlook account.

        OR

Leave the old PST file as a separate data file. After you handle an email in the Inbox of the New account and want to save it, simply save it to the same folder of the old pst file which is now a data storage file. The new emails can be save to the folders of the old PST file and keep old and new emails together. You do not have to save the new mails in a folder in the new account, you can save them anywhere.

Loading the old pst as a data file will also load the Calendar and Contacts contained in the pst. file. The data in these files can be moved to the new account Calendar and Contact folders if you desire. The procedure is simple. Let me know.

Just open the old PST as an Outlook data file. File | Open | Outlook data file. Then you can drag and drop what you want into the new file. Close the old file when you are finished.

I have found that messing with Outlook file settings to be problematic in the past. It may be just fine now but YMMV.
