I bought a new laptop from Dell and I need to login with a PIN.  How do I turn this off?  None of the instructions I can find on the internet seem to work.

    Thanks

yes – but just like the thread said – now it asks me for my Microsoft account password.  Is there any way to just turn on your Win11 PC and go straight the main screen without having to confirm your PIN or password?

Yes. See the response at How to bypass the password login on Windows 10? – Microsoft Community. Even though it says Windows 10 it should work for Windows 11.

I’d recommend SysInternals AutoLogon. Been using it for years and it works great.

Microsoft bought Mark Russinovich and his software.

Microsoft aknowledged Mark Russinovich with his excellent coding/ software skills by offering him an opportunity to excel further, under the umbrella of 1 microsoft way with a career….long may it last IMO. The guy is a genius and has made/ makes my computing a joy!

Me too. Unfortunately many of the Sysinternals utilities have become buggy and unreliable since Mark Russinovich moved from Windows to Azure.
