how do i get a button off the personal toolbar

Managed to put it on easy enough. From Edit bookmarks simply drag from the bookmarks folder and drop it on the toolbar.

According to help I should be able to simply delete the button once I’ve selected it thro edit preferences. But I’m ######ed if I can do it.

You don’t mention what version you’re using, but you should be able to remove through Bookmarks / Edit Bookmarks. Navigate to your personal toolbar, select the item, alternate-click and delete.

Version 4.51 on NT.

Ok. did what you said, navigated to the personal tbar. But in it there’s only “instant message”, “contact”, “webmail”,”people”, etc., I cannot see the buttons I’ve added myself (“google” for instance) in this folder.

I’m sure you did, but I just want to verify that you were navigating in Bookmarks / Edit Bookmarks. In which case, I’m unsure what could be wrong — I see each of the folders listed that way (including personal toolbar) and can expand to see all of the individual bookmarks, whether I used File Bookmark or drag & drop.

Unless someone else here chimes in, you may want to wander over to NS’s support site and see if this is a bug.

Yep I’m definitely in bookmarks>edit bookmarks. don’t know if the attached screenprint is sheds any light on it…

Try making changes to the Bookmark called MATH – you apparently did what I did some time back – that is make a copy of the Personal Toolbar Folder, make all kinds of changes but nothing took, took me several days to finally figure out what I did. Notice that the Toolbar Folder in your screenshot looks like a folder, whereas in mine it looks like a book…
