How do I delete messages with Viruses (6.00.2600.0000)

From time to time I get messages with viruses in them and my virus checker picks them up OK. However, if I suspect a message may have a virus and I have no interest in it anayway, how do I delete the message without clicking on it and triggering my virus checker? Once the checker is triggered I then have to go and find the temp file to delete it.

Click an item above the infected one, then Shift+Click an item below it. Delete the selected items. That way, you never click the infected message itself.

or turn off preview pane – view | layout. you can add a preview button to the toolbar so it’s easier.
