Up until a few weeks ago I was able to use https://outlook.live.com/owa to get the OLD HOTMAIL interface (not the Exchange OWA interface). I preferred the old look as it made it quite clear whether I was working in my hotmail account or my O365 Exchange account.

This URL now gives me the O365 looking interface. Anyone know of any secret URL or other trick that will get my hotmail account back to the old look?

If you just want it to look different, couldn’t you apply a theme at Settings, General, Appearance?

The previous sign in screen for outlook.com was great.  Nothing fancy, just click the sign in button.  See top image.

Recently this was switched to a 365 portal of sorts.  Which is what the OP linked (OWA).  See center image.  This change may seem minor, I just didn’t like the constant daily reminder (nag) of all the 365 offerings.

After some experiments with signing in, watching URL’s, hovering my cursor and whatnot I discovered the simple sign in screen that I was after.  See bottom image.

The 365 portal sign in button in the middle and the one at the top right corner to the right of the magnifying glass are both the same.

      Here is the URL.

I use the morning coffee extension and I have this listed to load with the others.  Hope this helps.  It made a huge difference for me.

Well, Purg2, you helped ME out! EXACTLY what I needed.

Three days ago, I had no problem accessing hotmail / outlook. Tuesday I could not get anything beyond a BLANK page (did work on a different computer, with different browser). I, too, thought a URL could solve my problem and here was posted your answer. Tried it – and I’m back in hotmail / outlook – and even gotten rid of the “ads” that took time to load (right side of page). A Win-Win! (let’s hope it lasts….)

      Purge2, your URL didnt help.

It is not the sign page I care so much about but rather the actual email interface.

      Stuff like this:

      • I have the text size & spacing set to large in the “new” interface,  but everything is still smaller than it was previously with the “hotmail layout”. If I increase the page zoom for the browser it makes everything on the screen bigger leaving little room for the actual message details.
      • I want the contact, calendar, etc icons at the bottom, not on the side (again eating into the message details this way)
      • I want the delete, forward, mark as un-read to the right of the subject, not all the way on the right side.

Wow, silly me, guess I totally misunderstood.  Sorry about that.  Good luck on your quest.
