    Hi,
I’ve got a internal website built which is running on Small Business Server 2008. The users are able to access it provided they log onto it remotely from outside the office. If they are in the office and they click there IE shortcut, the default companyweb page opens. When they click the link to the website that I built for the office, they get the error that the page can’t be found. This error only comes up when they log on internally. The IT engineer states its the software. Everything I’ve read online says its the way the network is set up esp. since it works fine from outside the office.

    Thoughts?
    Thanks,
    Leesha

      Leesha,

It appears it could be a DNS issue. Try a ping to the website from an internal computer and see what it returns. I would recommend an entry in your DNS server for your website.
Just for testing purposes only you could make an entry in your C:Windowssystem32driversetchosts file for your internal website and then see if you are able to access the website internally.
