Is there a way to hide code in .doc and .dot files?

You can password protect the project, or, better yet, compile the code into DLLs.

You’d need either the Office DEveloper Edition or VB 6 to do the latter.

Thank you so much Howard, I have both the Developer Edition and VB 6.0. There’s just SO MUCH to know. I’m going to start with password protecting and read up about compiling into DLLs.

You might make sure that you select Lock Project for Viewing in the Protection Tab of the Project Properties dialog.

Passwords are allegedly more easily cracked than DLLs.
