As the subject implies, I’m trying to hide a column in a subform displayed in datasheet view. I have the visible property set to ‘No’, yet the little @#$!% insists on showing up. It works for other subforms based off tables with similar structure, just not for this one….any ideas as to what I may be missing?

Setting the Visible property of a control to No only works in single or continuous forms. To hide a column in a datasheet form, either remove the control entirely, or open the form in datasheet view, click in the column and select Format | Hide Column, then save the form.

BTW I almost never use a form in datasheet view; I use a continuous form made to look like a datasheet instead, because that gives me much more control over how the form behaves.

Hans, thanks for the help, hiding the column in datasheet view and saving it worked. I would use a continuous form, but the info is only for display purposes….it’s not really functional at all. Thanks again cheers

        Hi Hans

Do you have a demo of this you can share?

        No hurry, at you convenience

        Thanks, John

The database attached to post 382292 contains several examples of continuous forms looking more or less like datasheet forms.

            Nice demos.

I was thinking more in terms of coding continuous forms to behave like datasheet forms in regards to sorting the columns, up/down arrow key navigation through records, etc.

Any demos like this liking around?

            Thanks, John
