• Hidden devices in 20H2

    Looks like Microsoft made a boo-boo in the preparation of the 20H2 image.

    I did a test clean install on a couple of machines and noticed some hidden devices in Device Manager which are visible if you choose the Show Hidden Devices option. Looks to be virtual devices from a Gen 1 Hyper-V VM and a Xeon E5-2673v4 CPU. My guess is that this was the system they created the image on, and they sysprepped the image and never generalised it!

      Of course, here you go. This is a clean build on a Dell laptop. Note the greyed out devices, they appear to correspond with a generation 1 Hyper-V VM.
