I have a file where I save tips etc. I would like to set it up so that I can search for a particular word or topic, like a Help file. Any suggestions.

First of all, what format are the tips save in? Text, Word, something else?

You can use the built-in search feature in Windows to search for documents “containing text.” If you specify the location of your tips as the search location and then fill in the “containing text” field, it should return what you seek.
