I am using MacroButton with a mail icon for an intranet doc so that users can e-mail the doc onward. The field works a treat but I am having to put a bit of explanatory text next to the icon – d/click to e-mail.

I notice that the Word help file illustrating the use of MacroButton has a pop-up that appears when the envelope icon is clicked once; it says Print Envelope.

Is this a help file special or can I add something like this to the MacroButton field?

It may be better to just go with the explanatory text next to the icon. You can add a comment to the icon that will pop up a window that tells the user what to do. To do this, highlight the icon, go to Insert|Comment and type in what you would like the comment to say. You could set it up both ways and then ask your users which they like the best. If you need any more info, let me know.
