Hi,
I don’t know why, but I can no longer access my Normal.dot file. When I go into VBA, it tells me my project is unviewable because it is locked.
But I haven’t locked it!!
What can I do? Where can I unlock it?
Thanks
Chris

Open it first. Then switch to the IDE and right click on Normal in the “Project Explorer”. If the project (Normal) is locked you’ll be prompted for a password. You obvioulsy need to know the password to open that project for editing.
Are you prompted for a password when you try the above?
Did you import the Normal.dot from Word 6 or 7?
If so, you may have at least one executable-only macro, which causes the entire project to be “locked”.
In this case, the only solution is to re-import the WordBasic, but remove any executable-only macros or replace them with the source version.
