I did a reinstall of access in order to repair the report function as the group by panel would not come up.
This I have fixed but now, when I try to import external data (a text file) the .txt filter is missing.

I have been to the add/remove option, to the data access option, and the TEXT & HTML driver is ticked, greyed out, and listed as Installed.

I need this option on a daily basis to import data from a text file.

Is there a registry setting that needs to be added or removed or something.

I also have the JetCopkg.exe upgrade installed.

for text specific,

to see what is actually installed.
