Patch reliability is unclear. Unless you have an immediate, pressing need to install a specific patch, don't do it. |
I subscribe to several newsgroups and recently, one of them went from tons
of messages to only a few. I think I caused this to happen since a google
search shows lots of messages in the group but my system doesn’t display
them.
Is there a specific outlook express setting to ensure I see ALL the
messages? I tried setting synchronize to all messages but that doesn’t seem
to help. In fact, I think my experimentation with synchronization may have
caused this problem.
Don, Have you tried to go to OE, tools,options,read, and there is a place to adjust the number of headers in the news group? I don’t know about ALL, but you can set a large amount there.

Hi there, try TOOLS>OPTIONS>READ>takes you to the screen where News is located on the lower part of the screen, this gives the option to state the number of News headers and messages you want to download at a time. Check the settings and if you do make changes, don’t forget to click on APPLY.
