Boring trick:
Pop into Word97SR2; pop into VBE.
Choose Help, Contents & Index, Find.
In the text box type “spell” without quotes.
I see spell-checking, spelled, spelling, spellings.
I choose spell-checking by clicking once on it, and observe “Hide selection property”!
I note that if I have chosen (options) Show words that “contain the characters you type” I get a slew of apparently unrelated articles.
