When I change the margins in a workbbook, they don’t change for the header and footer. There doesn’t seem to be any way to do this. My default left and right margins are .75 inches. I changed the margins to .25 so I could fit the columns on one page, but the left and right headers and footers stay at .75. Also, how do I change the default margins?

The header and footer margins are hard-coded to be at .75 inches, they cannot be changed.

See post 399,544 about changing/setting the default page margins. (The location of the XLSTART folder mentioned there is probably C:Documents and SettingsApplication DataMicrosoftExcelXLSTART where is your Windows username.. Application Data is a hidden folder)

Thanks. That worked. I didn’t get an email notification of either of these replies. That’s the first time that has happened. I checked my profile and there doesn’t seem to be anything there that would have changed this. Has the forum software changed?

We’ve been having some problems with our SMTP (mail) server recently. If the problem persists, you can report it in the Lounge Matters forum.
