I am searching for a KVM switch that will connect both my work PC and PS5 to my desktop monitor and I found this https://www.avaccess.com/products/4ksw21-dm/ which is affordable to me. The only thing is that my PC has only one HDMI port and is used for other purposes and I am wondering if this kind of HDMI KVM switch would work if I use DP to HDMI cable to connect.
Cable like this (https://www.amazon.com/Amazon-Basics-Uni-Directional-DisplayPort-Display/dp/B015OW3M1W/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=hdmi+to+displayport&qid=1680061095&sr=8-1) or adapter like this (https://www.amazon.com/DisplayPort-Adapter-Converter-Gold-Plated-Compatible/dp/B017Q8ZVWK/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=hdmi%2Bto%2Bdisplayport&qid=1680061095&sr=8-2&th=1)?
Will that cause extra trouble like some incompatibility? Sometimes adapters cause problems. Not sure about this one.
